Silver platedMade in ItalyAn exceptional quality piece of up-to-date Italian design is this wonderful and sophisticated Pierre Le Sommelier corkscrew bottle opener designed by Aldo Columbo and dating from around 1976. The heavily made corkscrew is silver plated with the body formed with molded designs as a sommelier's shirt, waistcoat and trousers and wearing a bow tie around his neck. His arms are formed as the leavers with molded cuffs with his head forming the screw top handle. This novelty piece has a round flat head with large protruding ears and with molded features, well-groomed hair and a large mustache.
